Narrow, pointed leaves over 13 inches long emerge blue in the spring with a lot of wax on them. The wax fades in summer on top, where leaves become a dark green — but stays on the bottom, so it looks white underneath. Forms a starburst shaped clump; lavender flowers appear late summer.
